Inspired by both the 1970s hard rock of Joan Jett and the modern alternative scene, Cherri Bomb is a Los Angeles-based band comprised of four teenage girls. The group was formed by 13 year-old Julia Pierce, a singer and guitarist who made it her goal to piece together a set of like-minded girls who could help her write songs that would transcend the novelty of their ages. With Miranda Miller (guitar/keyboard) and sisters Nia and Rena Lovelis (drums and bass, respectively) on board, Pierce's vision was realized. Cherri Bomb's radio-ready glam rock sound is impressively well-written and executed for a band with so few years under its belt, making the prospect of where its future will lead an exciting idea to ponder.
