Due to the massive success of "Jump Around," its 1992 party anthem, House of Pain will forever be linked to the radio hip-hop canon of the early 1990s. The group evolved from a solo project of Everlast, who soon called upon DJ Lethal and his high school friend, Danny Boy, to form the core of House of Pain's Irish-infused, aggressive party-rap style. After a breakup in 1997 and the reemergence of Everlast's popular solo career, it appeared the group was finished. In 2010, however, House of Pain reformed, bringing its boisterously fun hip-hop stylings to the festival circuit all over North American and beyond.
