Hot Hot Heat

When the Canadian band Hot Hot Heat burst onto the scene in 2004 with its breakthrough album Make Up the Breakdown, many considered the band to be one of the preeminent rock acts of early 21st century. The group's ability to incorporate subtle elements of dance floor instrumentation within the confines of a rock song structure gave Hot Hot Heat a luminous quality that's rare in many modern bands. Though the foursome has digressed slightly into the baneful world of rock clichés, the group still retains some of the boisterous character that was responsible for raising the group to prominence.
