Founded 1946 in Cardiff, Wales The Welsh National Opera regularly performs on major stages around England and Wales. The award-winning company delivers more than 120 performances a year to audiences all over Europe and the world, offering a mix of standard and lesser-known operas, in both English and the operas' original languages. In 2004, the WNO settled into their first permanent home in Cardiff's Welsh Millenium Center, a state-of-the-art performing arts center, where they are based to this day.
