To fight boredom and the monotony of a harsh winter lifestyle, Justin Paul Vallesteros started composing his own original style of bedroom pop in 2009. The resulting material managed to be extremely catchy, electronic-influenced music with tinges of chillwave and lo-fi production aesthetics. Vallesteros dubbed his musical endeavors Craft Spells and after a few music blogs caught wind of some of his tracks and posted them on their sites, Vallesteros' music started to receive a good amount of buzz for his tunes. Based out of the sleepy, Central California town of Stockton, Vallesteros released his debut LP, Idle Labor, in 2011 and since then the young musician has been touring and creating a reputation for himself as an interesting musician who creates memorable indie pop music.
