With upbeat drumming, melodramatic synth lines and slightly flamboyant vocals, the Portland, Oregon-based group Hockey is a band that makes retro dance music rooted in the post-punk revival scene, but with a clearly defined modern edge. The group was founded in 2007 and has built a strong fan base in England by grabbing the attention of BBC 1 DJ Zane Lowe and also by playing noteworthy festivals like Glastonbury and T in the Park.
