Richard Devine is an American IDM producer who first hit the electronic scene with his well-received remix of Aphex Twin's "Come to Daddy." That imaginative reworking introduced in-the-know glitch fans to an up-and-coming artist who has since lived up to his initial promise with several EPs and full-lengths of original material. Inspired by stalwarts of the genre such as Autechre and Richard D. James of the aforementioned Aphex Twin, Devine's music relies heavily on DSP, or digital signal processing, which digitizes analog signals and samples them into his tracks. His aggressive, pummeling style is characteristic of the hard-edged sub-genre known as glitchcore.
