Since 1956, the Moscow State Circus has been entertaining audiences around Western Europe with its traveling show. With an evolving program, the troupe's productions have built a reputation for their state-of-the-art circus fare, from the flying Gregory's Girls and the Bortnikova contortionists to The Didyk swing troupe and the clowns Valik & Valerik. The Moscow State Circus's 2015 production, Zhelaniy, is based on Benjamin Losin's folklore tale Svetik-Semicvetik, or "The Flower with Seven Colors." Along with his sidekick Natalia Mezentceva, Wizard Wako takes audiences on a journey through an enchanted garden where they grant wishes to the beautiful Zhenya among heart-stopping acrobatics, wire walking, roller-stake stunts and juggling.
