Noël Coward's Private Lives casts a comedic look on marriage, divorce, male-female relationships and infidelity. Two divorcees, Elyot and Amanda, find out that they are coincidentally honeymooning with their new spouses at same hotel in southern France. Passion and desire for one another are rekindled as they plot to elope to Amanda's apartment in Paris, leaving their partners in a confused wake. But soon, the flames start to die out as Elyot and Amanda resume the same squabbling that ruined their marriage the first time around. This is a deliciously hilarious tale of can't live with them, can't live without them, and how, for some couples, physical attraction only spells a violently explosive chemical reaction.
