Ensemble Modern

Ensemble Modern is a chamber group from Frankfurt, Germany that plays compositions from an array of modern composers. Founded in 1980, the ensemble is typically comprised of about 20 artists who are all adept, classically-trained musicians. Continuing to tour--playing works from famed composers like Charles Ives, Olivier Messiaen and Kurt Weill, in addition to many others--Ensemble Modern has proven itself as one of the premier chamber ensembles of its generation.
