Alessi's Ark

It's a shame that most modern folk acts lack the heart and gumption that many of the erstwhile stars of the folk scene were famous for. One songstress who comes across as a soulful incarnation of the former reigning kings of folk is the British singer/songwriter' Alessi Laurent-Marke who performs under the stage moniker Alessi's Ark. Getting her major label start in 2007, Lauret-Marke has been busy winning over fans with time spent on the road, where's she's in true form on stage--strumming her heart out on an acoustic guitar and crooning with devotion into a mic.
