Formed in 1998 from the remnants of two Washington DC-based indie rock acts, Dead Meadow is a stoner rock band that has built a solid career around chugging riffs, rock solid drumming and fist pumping choruses. Combining elements of 1960s psycadelic rock with 1970s metal, Dead Meadow creates a style of music that's well suited for the band's lyrics that oftentimes center around the stories of J.R.R. Tolkien and H.P. Lovecraft.
