Edoardo Bennato is a singer-songwriter who began his career in the mid-1960s. His debut album, Non farti cadere le braccia, was released in 1973 and it introduced the world to his innovative mix of blues, folk and rock n’roll. Bennato was given the honor of singing the official 1990 FIFA World Cup song with Gianna Nannini.
