And Also the Trees is a post punk band that emerged out of the UK. The band first earned widespread attention while on tour in support of The Cure, which sparked a long-time friendship between the two bands. And Also the Trees released its eponymous debut album in 1984, and throughout the years the band has integrated fresh elements of alternative rock, punk, new wave and gothic rock into its sound. Despite minor lineup changes and an ever-evolving musical landscape, the band has stayed true to its signature melancholic themes from 1998's Silver Soul to 2016's Born Into the Waves.
