Russkaja

Russkaja is an Austrian band that is able to breathe fresh life into the often stagnant world of polka music. Formed in 2005, Russkaja's punk-rock mentality has brought a revitalized approach to its musical outlook, with a rugged attitude and unrelentingly ferocious sonic sentimentality. Though the group is easily comparable to the well known gypsy-punk band Gogol Bordello, Russkaja's cultural leanings are more towards the rich musical history of its home town of Vienna.
