Even though Goldfrapp is widely considered to be "electronic" music, the band's sound is void of any predominate bass thumps or obtrusive high pitched glitches. Instead, the duo from Bath, England that was formed in 1999 incorporates elements of acoustic instrumentation into its songs and relies heavily upon the dreamy vocals of lead singer Alison Goldfrapp that are coupled with the flawless compositions of Will Gregory. Oftentimes Goldfrapp breaks its own mold and plays songs that sound like a idyllic 1960s group with subtle drumming and well thought out harmonies, nearly always producing music that is fairly angelic.
