During its heyday the American alternative rock band Sparklehorse was one of the more formidable groups on the music scene. As time wore on, though, lead singer Mark Linkous started to drift from his charismatic self and into a hard to define state plagued by depression. When Linkous took his own life in 2010, it inspired a group of artists to carry on and recreate the emblematic music of Sparklehorse. These musicians do their best to pay tribute to Linkous and the songs are predominantly spot on renditions.
