Founded in 2004, Vogelfrey is a folk-rock band from Hamburg, Germany. Originally formed by brothers Jannik and Dominik Schmidt, the group's music shows a heavy influence from heavy metal. After competing in several battle of the bands competitions and performing at various music festivals in Germany, the band released their first studio album Weigenfest, in 2010.
