Five-piece stoner metal band Viking Skull got its start as a spoof supporting act for Raging Speedhorn around its hometown of Corby, England. The band released its debut EP Chapter One in 2003, sparking critical acclaim and earning the band a set at the 2004 Download Festival. After releasing its first full-length album in 2005, Viking Skull was set to join Alice Cooper and Twisted Sister on a tour of the UK but cancelled due to financial reasons, leaving the band splintered and unmotivated. Lead vocalist Roddy Stone announced the band's break up in 2006 and reassembled with a new line up a few months later to records its third studio album Chapter Two.
