Tonight Alive is a pop punk band that was formed in 2008 by vocalist Jenna McDougall, guitarist and vocalist Whakaio Taahi, guitarist Jake Hardy, bassist Cam Adler and drummer Matt Best. Based in Sydney the band spent the first two years of its existence touring across Australia as the supporting act of bands including Simple Plan and We Are The In Crowd, before self-funding and releasing its debut EP All Shapes and Disguises, in 2010. Despite only being released in Australia and Japan, the record earned the band its first national headlining tour. Tonight Alive traveled to Los Angeles to record its debut full-length album What Are You So Scared Of?, with Blink-182 producer Mark Trombino and eventually released the record in 2011.
