Xzibit

Detroit native Xzibit is a hip-hop artist, actor and television personality who began his career rapping on the streets of Los Angeles. After relocating to California from New Mexico at the age of 14, he adopted the moniker Exhibit A and immersed himself in the crowded underground hip-hop scene. After touring with Likwit Crew in 1995, he signed to Lou Records under the name Xzibit and released his debut album, At the Speed of Life. As he developed his rap career, he began to break into film with starring roles in movies like 2002's 8 Mile and earned massive mainstream attention as the host and producer of MTV's series Pimp My Ride. Xzibit has since managed to maintain the various facets of his entertainment career by choosing a diverse repertoire of projects and timing his albums with the eb and flow of his exposure.
