White Wizzard

White Wizzard was a Los Angeles-based heavy metal outfit that was formed in 2007 by bassist Jon Leon as a response to the screamo sound that dominated the metal scene during the mid-2000s. Despite earning label attention with the release of its first two EPs, the group collapsed under the weight of creative tensions, causing Leon to rebuild his project from scratch. A new incarnation of White Wizzard embarked on an extensive touring schedule in 2010 in support of its debut album, Over the Top. While the group's lineup continued to shuffle over the next few years, the band has steadily offered classic heavy metal records with Leon at the helm.
