Included in Rolling Stone's top 25 guitarists of all time, Warren Haynes has had a rather prolific career and is widely respected by fans and musicians. Probably known best as founder and front-man for blues-rock jam band Gov't Mule, Haynes initially started his career as part of David Allan Coe's backing band. Next, he joined the famed Allman Brothers Band and Dickey Betts Band--eventually taking members from each outfit to start his own blues-based jam rock outfit Gov't Mule in1994. While he still performs with the aforementioned groups, he also embarked on a solo career in 1993, sporadically releasing albums under his given name, as well as performing with Phil Lesh & Friends and The Dead. While touring his solo material, Haynes often performs with a backing band under the moniker The Warren Haynes Band.
