Mastodon

With each successive album, Atlanta, Georgia-based hardcore group Mastodon has raised the bar for itself with albums like 2004's Moby Dick themed Leviathan album to the heady, cryptic world of 2009's LP Crack the Skye. The former release represents new territory for Mastodon, as the album centers around on the Russian Czars, it represents one of the more involved piece of music it has recorded to date.
