The Sounds

After getting together in 1999 in Stockholm, Sweden, The Sounds unleashed its unabashedly poppy style onto American radio waves. Unashamed to show influences like Blondie, Gang of Four and other bands that straddle the line between new wave and punk, the five-piece fronted by trendsetter Maja Ivarsson, has found success throughout Europe and abroad.
