The St. Lucie Mets is a minor league baseball team based out of Port St. Lucie, Florida that competes in the Florida State League's South Division. Founded in 1996, the team is the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets and the team has produced several players who've gone on to have respectable careers in the majors. Having won the Florida State League Championship several times, its first being in 1988, the team has proven itself as one of the more talented organizations in its league.
