Hailing from Corinth, Mississippi Saving Abel is a rock band that was formed in 2004 by vocalist Jared Weeks and lead guitarist Jason Null. The band captured the attention of Virgin Records with its self-recorded demo and subsequently signed with the label. Saving Abel's 2008 self-titled debut album featured its hit single "Addicted," which peaked at number two on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart. The band embarked on its first major tour in 2009 and went on to open for bands such as Papa Roach and Creed before starting work on its follow-up album, Miss America. Released in 2010, the album rose to number one on the US Rock chart and spawned the band's first number one single, "Sex Is Good." Saving Abel dropped its third studio effort, Bringing Down the Giant, in 2012.
