Canadian outfit Saga is a progressive rock band from Ontario that was formed in 1977 out of the core members of rock act Fludd. Though the band's eponymous debut album, released in 1978, was only a moderate success in Canada the album became a major seller in Germany and Puerto Rico. Saga released its first hit single on Canadian charts in 1981, titled "Wind Him Up," the lead single off of its fourth studio album Worlds Apart. The following year the band made its breakthrough to American audiences with the album's second single, "On the Loose." The band's progressive sound is best characterized on its 1995 concept album Generation 13, an effort inspired by the novel 13 GEN: Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail? Saga has steadily released over twenty albums in just over three decades, including its 2012 album, 20/20.
