Born in Melbourne to a family of musicians, Ross Wilson learnt to sing with the choir at his church. He released his debut single "Louie Louie" as a part of the band The Pink Finks, which he formed with his friend at the age of 17. His subsequent associations as a front-man for groups like Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock brought him popularity in Australia and countries such as the USA and Canada. Daddy Cool's single "Eagle Rock" and LP Daddy Who? Daddy Cool gained the number one status on the Australian charts. As a solo act, he has released the albums Dark Side of the Man, Go Bongo Go Wild!, Country and Wilson, Tributary and I Come in Peace. He was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame twice - once individually in 1989 and once in 2006 as a member of Daddy Cool.
