Ronnie Dunn

Best known as one half of the country duo Brooks & Dunn, Ronnie Dunn is a singer/songwriter from Texas who launched his solo career following the breakup of Brooks & Dunn in 2010. Though Dunn had released music by himself in the 1980s, he did not receive a commercial breakthrough until Brooks & Dunn released their debut LP, Brand New Man, in 1991. During the duo's two decades long existence, it managed to rack up numerous charting singles and platinum albums, but after group tensions rose to a climax, both members decided to go their separate ways. Dunn's solo material has a more distinct singer/songwriter quality to it, with more astute lyrics with a lack of defined pop hooks.
