Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey was raised by her mother, a former opera singer, who encouraged her to develop her legendary five-octave vocal range at an early age. Carey made her official debut with Columbia Records in 1990 and has since made her mark on the R&B, hip-hop and dance music scene. Throughout her diverse career in the entertainment industry, she has worked as a singer, songwriter, actress and producer.
