MacAco is a multicultural band composed of members from Brazil, Cameroon, Venezuela and Spain. The band was formed in 1997 and its members' different backgrounds allow them to blend different rhythms to innovative and electric effect. MacAco's first album, El Mono en el Ojo del Tigre, was released in 1999, popularizing their edgy world sound and excellent live performances.
