Since he catapulted to fame with the 2010 single "Baby," Justin Bieber has evolved from a teen heart throb into an international icon. The Canadian singer/songwriter surprised critics and fans with the pure pop star power of his 2010 debut album, My World 2.0, which spawned his first world tour. Appealing to young audiences, he attracted a rabid following on the road that has stayed with him throughout the tribulations of his short yet storied career. With his 2012 LP Believe, he transitioned into a more R&B style that suited his maturing fan base as well as his own changing voice, which was notably deeper and huskier as he was growing up. The lead-in single "Boyfriend" became an anthem for teenagers across the globe while Bieber's clean-cut image slowly fizzled away to reveal a more petulant persona. He released his fourth studio album Purpose, in 2015, continuing his growth as an artist with more provocative themes and tropical house overtones.
