Metalachi

Combining the seemingly incompatible elements of heavy metal and mariachi, Metalachi is a five-piece outfit from Veracruz, Mexico. Formed in 1982, the band gigged around Mexico before crossing over into international audiences throughout South and North America with extensive tours and a sound both familiar and foreign to the diverse, preexisting audiences of metal and Mexican folk music. Metalachi released its first studio LP, Uno, in 2012.
