Los Van Van is a supergroup and champion of contemporary Cuba music. The band is composed of leader and bassist Juan Formell, Changuito and Pupy, three of the most important artists in post-revolution Cuba. The band released its debut album in 1969, and over the decades they've managed to stay true to its style. While building its massive discography, including 1994's Lo Ultimo En Vivo and 2005's Chapeando, Los Van Van has also lent its talents to activism. Most notably, in 2011 the group collaborated with Carlinhos Brown on the song "Soy Loco por Tí, América" which was featured on Red Hot Organization's charity album Red Hot+Rio 2, benefiting the fight against AIDS and HIV.
