Fabolous

The Brooklyn, New York rapper Fabolous (born John David Jackson) is one of the few rappers mature enough to ignore geography sanctioned rivals. Fabolous was born and raised on the East Coast but he couldn't deny the infectious rhythms that were coming from the Southern hip hop movement. By fusing Eastern and Southern hip hop styles, Fabolous created a style of music that's original and compromising. Though he has released a steady slew of albums since his debut LP, Ghetto Fabolous, in 2001, the rapper hasn't broken through on a massive mainstream scale; instead, he has remained a stalwart icon of the New York rap scene.
