Taken from the much-loved sitcom Dad's Army, which ran for nine years on BBC in the 60s and 70s, Dad's Army Marches On reenacts the episodes, including some from the archive that were lost. The show involves members of the local Home Guard, an entirely voluntary force of men who were otherwise ineligible for service during World War II (usually because of age). The show has remained one of the most popular and well-known sitcoms produced by BBC.
