Though the majority of lo-fi garage rock outfits have been confined to dense metropolitan areas like New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, the genre's integration into the American mainstream has propelled many musicians, who live in various cities and towns around the country, to start a band that focuses solely on creating skuzzy, reverb laden rock. One such group is the Florida-based outfit Jacuzzi Boys. The band released it's debut 7'' in 2007 and since then, the group has been busy, with a fairly prolific recording schedule and an ardent touring regime to boot. Jacuzzi Boys received a good amount of attention for its 2011 LP, Glazzin', and while many connoisseurs of DIY styled rock praised the album, other folk, who are unfamiliar with the lo-fi aesthetic, dismissed it as a shoddily produced release that sounds like it was made by an adolescent group of individuals who possess no real instrumental tallent.
