Originally beginning his career on the Mexican music label Fonovisa, Spanish crooner Enrique Iglesias skyrocketed to the top of Latin American charts in the mid 1990s. With his good looks, sultry voice and Latin charm, Iglesias soon grabbed the attention of American record label heads at EMI and soon signed a multi-record contract for an unprecedented sum. Quickly finding just as much success on the English language market as on the Latin market, Iglesias became of staple for MTV and commercial radio and has managed to stay popular.
