Hellyeah

Formed in 2006 Hellyeah is a heavy metal band from Dallas that incorporates elements of southern hard rock and groove metal. With members from fellow metal acts Pantera, Nothingface, Damageplan and Mudvayne, the five-piece band first had the idea to form a supergroup in 2001 while its members' respective bands were traveling as part of the Tattoo the Earth tour. After putting the project on hold for several years, the group finally realized its idea and released its eponymous debut album in 2007. Well received by its built-in fanbase, Hellyeah continues to record and release music, including its 2012 LP Band of Brothers. In 2018, the band suffered the unexpected loss of their drummer Vinnie Paul juat as they were preparing their sixth studio album.
