Gypsyhawk is a hard rock band based out of Pasadena, California, that's composed of four guys whose shared love of pioneering metal groups is blatantly apparent. Founded in 2008, Gypsyhawk gigged around the Southern California area for a while, refining its sound and honing its live approach, before entering into the studio to record its 2010 debut LP, Patience and Perseverance. Tending to steer toward a sound that favors a groove-based approach to song composition rather than an emphasis on instrumental adeptness or virtuosity, Gypsyhawk has built itself a solid reputation as a band that's not afraid of ignoring current musical trends in order to achieve its musical endgame.
