Rarely does a band go through as many changes as Fuel, which was started in 1989 by Carl Bell and Jeff Abercrombie. Originally known as Small the Joy until 1994, the rock band cycled through many line-ups until 2010, when it was revitalized by four new members. The changes are apparent in the evolution of the band's songs across the years, but the band has remained true to its hard rock style despite the re-hauls of the line-up. Even though Fuel's name, members and sound have changed, its success has remained consistent. Since its debut in 1998, Fuel has released several well-known hits, such as "Shimmer," "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)," "Bad Day" and "Falls on Me." Fuel can also boast of a strong following that allows the band to tour often.
