The Fort Wayne Komets were established in 1985. It is a minor league ice hockey team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Komets are in the Western conference and compete in the Midwest division. The team has won eight championship titles in the IHL in 1963, 1965, 1973, 1993, 2003, 2008, 2009, 2010. It also won a championship in the CHL in 2012. The Komets play its home games at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The teams colors are orange, black, and white.
