Leading the post-punk revival movement, Editors is a British four-piece that showcases characteristically angular guitars, emotive vocals akin to Joy Division and a generally dark aesthetic. After forming in 2002, the Stafford-based band went through a slew of names and an intensive set of campaigns to spread the word about its music before signing to a label and donning the name Editors in 2004. With the release of its single "Munich," the band skyrocketed to fame in the UK and developed a slightly smaller following in the US. While Editors's fame might not be as widespread in other countries, its status is solidified in the UK--with two platinum albums and a Mercury Prize to its name.
