Ember Swift is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist who has been writing songs since she was 9 years old and performing since she was ten. In 1996, she released her self-titled debut album and it was met with generally positive acclaim. After graduation from the University of Toronto in 1998, with a degree in East Asian Studies, Swift and regular band member Lyndell Montgomery (electric violin) began touring North America and Australia. These live shows often featured the additional talents of Adam Bowman on drums and percussion.
