Eileen Ivers is an Irish-American musician who has built a reputation as one of the premier Celtic-influenced fiddle players since she took up the instrument at age nine. Learning how to play from the acclaimed Irish fiddler Martin Mulvihill, Ivers would go on to distinguish herself at an early age and eventually be enlisted by Mick Moloney to play with his traditional Irish music group, The Green Fields. After touring with the band for a period of time, Ivers would strike out on her own in 1994 and release her debut solo LP--an album that caught the right ears and helped land her a spot as lead fiddle player with the popular Irish dance troupe Riverdance.
