Michael Velasquez, known by his stage name DJ Clay, is an American record producer, rapper, and disc jockey hailing from Detroit, Michigan. Starting his DJ career at the age of 13 in Southwest Detroit, DJ Clay quickly made a name for himself and gained recognition by performing at various events hosted by Psychopathic Records. He was later asked by Shaggy 2 Dope to join his national tour, which led to exclusive DJing opportunities for Insane Clown Posse. DJ Clay was signed to Psychopathic Records in 2007 and began producing songs for the label. He released a series of mixtapes titled Let 'Em Bleed featuring artists from Psychopathic Records and other labels. DJ Clay's influences include Insane Clown Posse, DJ Q-bert, Mix Master Mike, DMX, Korn, Michael Jackson, and The Beatles. He has released several albums and mixtapes throughout his career, and as of 2019, he is on his own label, Armed Robbery Entertainment.
