Originally formed as One Fell Swoop in the 1990s, Dispatch is a three-piece indie/alternative rock band from Vermont. After changing its name to Dispatch, the band had a successful run between 1996 and 2002, relocating to Boston and releasing four albums, before disbanding. The band had earned a dedicated following with its folk, reggae and funk-infused rock music, particularly with its 1998 album Bang Bang, so when Dispatch reunited to play a free farewell concert in 2004, it made independent rock history by attracting a crowd of 100 thousand fans. In 2011, the band officially announced its reunion, subsequent tour of the US and a 2012 album titled Circles Around the Sun, Dispatch's fifth studio album and first since its 2000 Who Are We Living For?
