Destry

Destry is an indie folk band led by the talented singer-songwriter Michelle DaRosa. Following her departure from Straylight in 2008, DaRosa embarked on a solo project that would eventually evolve into Destry. The band comprises a group of accomplished musicians, including Sam Means of the Format, drummer Nico Childrey and Tyler Odom from Cassino, and bassist Shaun Cooper of Straylight Run and Taking Back Sunday. Although they have collaborated extensively, it wasn't until February 2009 that they were able to come together in person. Despite this, their musical chemistry is evident in their captivating compositions. In 2009, Destry released their debut studio album, "It Goes On," which showcased their distinct blend of indie folk and heartfelt lyricism. With DaRosa's mesmerizing vocals at the forefront, the band embarked on a tour of the United States, further solidifying their presence in the indie music scene. Destry's music resonates with listeners, delivering poignant and introspective songs that leave a lasting impression.
