Deke Dickerson is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and film composer. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he began his career in the music industry by playing in local rockabilly bands. At age 17, he formed The Untamed Youth in Columbia, Missouri. Dickerson later moved to Los Angeles, where he joined forces with Dave Stuckey to create the Dave & Deke Combo. He has also been a part of the Ecco-Fonics and has released albums under his own name. Dickerson's musical style incorporates various genres such as country, rockabilly, blues, and western swing. He is known for his contributions to Guitar Player and Vintage Guitar magazines, as well as for organizing the annual "Guitar Geek Festival" in Anaheim. Additionally, he owns a rare amplifier that formerly belonged to Scotty Moore, and in 2018, he composed the soundtrack for the film Action Point.
